Well, folks... Here in East Texas, Spring has finally sprung!
I don't know about you, but I was dying for warmer weather and new growth in the garden. And what better way to celebrate this sense growth and renewal than by picking flowers?
My adventure-buddy, Ashley, and I originally heard about Plantation Pines through one of our favorite local tourism pages on Instagram, Visit Tyler. Once we saw that this Christmas Tree farm doubled as a tulip farm during the spring, we knew we had to pay them a visit!
The price was $2.75 per flower, and we each bought a little bundle to bring home. Obviously, it wasn't the cheapest bouquet ever, but you have to keep in mind that you're also paying for the lovely experience, fun memories, and cute photo opportunities. (When you also remember that it's a family-owned business and you're supporting someone local, the price doesn't seem like much anyway!)
Just remember that your adventures don't always have to be somewhere crazy or expensive. You can have very special adventures near your own home if you simply take the time to look for them.
I'm learning to fall in love more and more with the little moments and the tiny adventures I take, but it all starts with having the willingness to look for those little hidden gems.
