The 7 Secrets No One Tells You About Moving Overseas


So for those of you who haven't heard, I've previously mentioned how I am hoping to go to South Korea eventually (go read this post, if you haven't heard about it). But this will not be my first time experiencing life overseas because I have lived in Kenya, Africa before. One thing I've noticed is that there are many the little details about living life overseas that "expats" (expatriates) often forget to mention or don't always feel comfortable talking about.

 In this week's blog post, I continue with my "Traveling the World From Home" series, where I try new food at locally-owned restaurants and cafés. This series has been an interesting topic to cover because it has not only challenged me to go out of my way to find small businesses to support, but it has also helped me to feel a deeper connection to my community and make me more excited to talk about it with people. Word of mouth is a powerful tool in marketing, so we shouldn't discount the power of simply sharing our experiences with others.

Traveling the World From Home: Supporting Local Businesses (Panda Korea in Longview TX)

At this point in time, I know that many of us out there wish we could travel right now. For some of us, it's not possible simply due to finances; for others, it is due to the issues from Covid-19. Either way, we wish we could drop everything to explore the world, and we can't do it.


Instead of feeling sad about it, I've realized that I can experience some of the fun of traveling right here at home!
